Rudy was born in Tucson, but moved to California at an early age. He attended Atascadero High School and went on to graduate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Business, minor in Art. In fact, he paid for part of his schooling by selling his hand-made ceramics.
Rudy Madrid is well known in the Tri-Counties as a most experienced mortgage loan officer. After two years military service, he rejoined Security Pacific Bank in Paso Robles, working in branch operations, then Commercial and Ag loans and eventually was Assistant Manager. After several years, he moved over to Great Western Savings, continuing in residential lending while also working with large apartment house and construction loans. Washington Mutual eventually acquired Great Western, which was then acquired by Chase, and he remained as their residential lender until 2008 when he moved over to Wells Fargo Bank. After this long process in lending, Rudy is amazed and charmed by the differences at The Mortgage House.
He and his wife, Susan, enjoy their four children (one daughter in high school, one at Cal Poly, one son owns Mitch Madrid Construction and one owns Thompson Landscaping) and their horses, and he loves gardening when he can spare the time.
